Latin Name: Pogostemon cablin

A Tender Perennial. Medicinal and Perfumery: Tall upright growing herb with very aromatic leaves that deter insects when placed among clothing. The whole plant is antiseptic, an insect repellent, an antidepressant, a stimulant and is used as a remedy for venomous snake and insect bites in Southeast Asia. The essential oil is used in aromatherapy to regenerate skin cells, treat acne, eczema, athlete's foot and cracked skin.
