Ephedra

Ephedra, also known as Ma Huang, has been used for four thousand years to treat respiratory infections and asthma in the Far East. It has also been known to boost metabolism. Ephedra should not be used for long periods of time as it can increase blood pressure. Be sure not to exceed the dosages recommended by your naturopath or physician.
