Catnip

Latin Name: Nepeta cataria

A Perennial. Medicinal: Rough mint-like leaf with a strong, pungent scent. Leaves make a relaxing tea and cats love the aroma and taste. Catnip has relaxing effects on humans and a light sedative. It has been used to treat cramps, upset stomach, bronchitis and diarrhea. May be taken as a tea, in tincture form or in capsules.
