What Is The Best Way To Take MSM?

MSM is an incredible product. It is known by the following names:

MSM
methylsulfonylmethane
methyl-sulfonyl-methane
DMSOO
DMSO2 and other names.

It is used for a wide, wide array of health issues. It is mainly used as an oxygen transport, a pain killer and something to increase circulation. Like its cousin DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) it can penetrate the skin, but unlike DMSO it will not carry other substances through the skin with it. Also it does not cause any body odor, which DMSO certainly will do.

MSM is perfectly, 100% natural. It is made from DMSO, as a derivative or DMSO, or it can be made directly from nature.

Dosages

There are 4-5 grams of MSM per LEVEL TEAspoon. This means there are 12-15 grams of MSM per LEVEL TABLEspoon.

The toxic dose of MSM is over 100 grams per day for a person about 200 pounds. However, most people do not advise a dose of more than 80 grams per day for a 200 pound man, just to be on the safe side.

Actual doses, however, are usually much, much smaller than these. These are doses at the extreme end of the spectrum. Most people will only take between 5 and 25 grams per day, depending on whether they are in a prevention mode or a treatment mode.

How much MSM per day you take is up to you, but a dose of 20 grams a day is perfectly safe for anyone except small children. But a dose this high would only be for people in treatment mode, such as for arthritis pain.

People react differently to the higher doses. Some will get a strange feeling in their head (caused by flooding the brain with oxygen singlets - which is a good thing), but virtually all will have some gastrointestinal (GI) issues unless they slowly build up to these higher doses. The body will know when you get to your maximum dose.

The best way to take it is in granular form mixed with distilled water at room temperature.

To make a bottle of "MSM water" do the following:

1) Get a one gallon bottle (i.e. slightly less than 4 liters) of distilled water and pour a little out.
2) With the distilled water at room temperature, put 10 LEVEL TABLEspoons of MSM in the jug.
3) Shake the bottle several times over a 10 minute time period.
4) After about 10 minutes the MSM will be "in solution," meaning it is totally dissolved and no MSM particles will float to the bottom.

After making the "MSM water" you probably would want to refrigerate it.

The gallon jug contains about 150 grams of MSM, which is too much to take in one day because, as mentioned above, the toxic dose is about 100 grams a day, so don't drink it all in one day. Obviously, keep away from children.

There are 128 ounces in a gallon. Thus, if you take 12.8 ounces of the MSM water a day, you will be taking 15 grams of MSM a day.

What I personally do in prevention mode is fill a 12 ounce glass HALF with the "MSM water" discussed above and HALF with distilled water. This moderates the taste a little bit. This is about 7 grams of MSM. I then add 10-12 drops of a good stabilized oxygen product, such as Prime pH or Aerobic O7, and 10-12 drops of Cell Food (a trace mineral supplement). You can forget about ever getting a cold or the flu if you do this.

If you are going to take more than 5 grams of MSM a day, it would be wise to build up your chosen dosage over the period of a week.

When in treatment mode, when you are taking 20 or more grams a day, it is best to take MSM in several small doses throughout the day, rather than one large dose!!

WARNING: About 15% of those who take MSM have a harmless reaction to the MSM. If you have a reaction to the MSM, then drop the dosage or stop taking it.

My Highly Endorsed Vendor

Virtually all MSM products you buy at a health food store are of limited value. This is because chemicals have been added to the MSM in order to put the MSM powder into the pills. These chemicals largely destroy the usefulness of the MSM.

I highly recommend one vendor for MSM because they provide MSM in granule form AND they NEVER add any type of additives. To order MSM:
