Book Review Natural Curesby Kevin TrudeauKevin Trudeau reveals deception and double standards concerning general and individual health. From retail supermarket outlets and publicly traded corporations comes processed, manipulated, engineered "food products" - produced by other parts of the same corporation. These artificial, toxic treats are then sold with the blessings of the Federal Trade Commission and Food and Drug Administration - government organizations charged with safeguarding the public good. This lays the foundation for a future of disease and chronic ill-health for the trusting consumer, and a guaranteed source of revenue for the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. Kevin Trudeau is fast becoming the nation's foremost consumer advocate. Adopting a personal mission vowing to "positively impact the whole person." Having been personally responsible for over $2 billion in business world-wide, Kevin knows from personal experience how big business and government try to debunk individuals who promote products that could hurt the profits of the giant multinational corporations. Kevin spends most of his time spearheading a newsletter and website that promote education about natural healing therapies; and exposing corporate and government abuse and corruption. But, most of the book sounds like it was written when Trudeau was in a state of rage and disgust. A majority of the book can be summed up in one sentence: "Go to my website and become a paying member." That in itself raises a warning flag. As you read the book and nearly every time you feel you're on the verge of something you can actually use you get directed to a website where you have to pay to get the information. The problem is that Mr. Trudeau says "it's not about the money." He claims corporations have offered him millions of dollars to retire to a tropical island and never be heard from again, in one of his infomercials. He says the money is not important, and he's even advertised offers where he'll send his books free when you pay for shipping. The money is not important, he says. Getting out the information is. That's an admirable philosophy. The question I'd like to ask him: 'why do you charge so much for your website access if this is the case?' Websites don't run for free, this is true. But Mr. Trudeau boasts he's amassed a $2 billion fortune. The cost of the website access seems a little high for a man with such noble intentions. Especially with some dillegent searching on the internet will lead you to most of the same information for free. The book overall is a good introduction to people who have never heard the information before, but do not rely on it for helping you with your health, there are many other books that do a better job. The book at least helps to open eyes and get people to think about who is doing what to whom. It is a good way to peak an interest in further exploration into what is going on in the U.S., with regard to health.
